Christmas parties, carols, delicious cakes, Santa's presents, lighted trees and all the excitment have almost dried down. The year is coming to a close and during this final week you might be busy planning all your new year resolutions. Well I've made one. Non stop excitement with lots of free games for 2012 to be featured in the coming weeks. 
As an apology for not featuring freeware games for the past 7 weeks, this time I'm making up with all of you, by introducing a dozen cool freeware games from one of my favourite independent game designers, Jesse Venbrux. The games are of short and medium play time but he doesn't compromise them from being innovative, challenging or extremely addictive. Be ready to shed a significant amount of workplace stress if it has got you down, once you start playing them. 
I'll feature two among his dozen collection here.
Karoshi 2.0 is a sequel to Karoshi. Karoshi means 'Death from Overwork' . How's it like to play a game that let's you to escape from your monotonous boring job without a promotion by thinking of different ways for killing yourself? Sounds funny right. But it isn't an easy job to get done. Killing yourself was never so difficult and never so much fun! The level designs are clearly awesome with a blend of puzzle platforming gameplay. There are 60 levels in total. The Karoshi series includes Karoshi 1.0, 2.0, Suicide SalaryMan, Karoshi Factory and Super Karoshi.
Focus is one of those games that made me forget that I was working and one that made me lose my appetite. What started as a simple platformer turned into an extremely crazy and fast paced game that simply rings chaos everywhere. The gameplay includes platforming with a teleporting mechanic. You slow down time (that slows down the missiles hurled at you too) to gain momentum by focussing and creating a shield so that it can catapult you higher and trick the turrets to shoot missiles onto the shooting buttons to advance to next room.
Many more games have been developed by Jesse which is an excellent past time for your coffee break or to relieve your work stress. They are pretty much fun and addictive. Come on now, TAKE A BREAK !
